Auckland Radiology Group is Auckland’s first private diagnostic radiology practice, having been originally established in Symonds St in 1936 by Dr. Bruce McKenzie who was joined in 1941 by Dr. Norbert Klein, a Jewish refugee from Germany.
The Group now has more than 20 branches throughout greater Auckland, and is the only major Auckland practice 100% owned and operated by Aucklanders.
Auckland Radiology Group has always been at the cutting edge of high technology, reflecting various subspecialties and the many rapid technological advancements in diagnostic imaging.
ARG was the first private practice to introduce ultrasound and CT scans, scintigraphy and 3T MRI scans to Aucklanders. For almost 20 years ARG has provided MRI scans to the Auckland District Health Board.
We are Auckland’s foremost private radiology practice. We provide caring diagnostic services for New Zealand’s top sports tournaments, teams, and individual athletes. As the foremost musculoskeletal radiology practice, we were the sole designated radiology group in Auckland for the Rugby World Cup in 2011.
